Parco San Marco Part II

The last time I visited Parco San Marco, it was the end of the season. The weather was getting colder, and the preparations for the winter season closure were becoming apparent.

This time, when arriving at the beginning of June, the mood was the opposite. The season-opening had just taken place, the flowers blooming and the weather picking up the summer temperatures. The green of the trees shining bright, and the lake water getting warmer.

Last time, I already had the feeling that the offering of the place was vast, but this time it stroke me even more—a paradise for individuals of all ages. One could spend weeks here without getting bored.

Here I share some of the activities that changed since my last visit or those I didn’t have the opportunity to seize due to seasonal constraints.

The promises of the Michelin Guide Restaurant La Musa as well as the La Masseria remain as before. At La Veranda, a small change, where the adults-only area of the Restaurant used to be, now stands a Restaurant on its own - La Joie de Vivre. A carefully selected menu, created by Chef Michele Pili, offering a quiet dining experience.

At the Fun Pool, pizza is guaranteed. From 12.00 to 18.00, you can choose to eat on the spot or get a takeaway to enjoy the Italian delicacy in a different place in the park or take it to the room. At the beach, grill specialities are what you‘ll get. The 46 Parallelo offers those summer days options - fish, meat and veggies on the grill accompanied by a salad bar and a VIP view to the lake. At the weekends, the service is also served during dinner time.

And talking about the beach... with the temperatures dropping during my last visit, I hadn’t had the opportunity to experience the lakeside outlet at its fullest yet. The amenities include the Restaurant and spaces to lay and relax and more than enough options for the active visitors. Stand Up Paddling, pedalos, waterski, wakeboarding, tours to the region‘s gems, snorkelling and scuba diving (there’s even a wrack not too far from the beach) are the activities offered by the Water Sports Center, led by the passion-driven couple Tatiana and Luca.

Occasionally, Yoga classes with a view are offered free of charge to the ones looking for calmness during their stay.

And these are „only“ supplementary activities to the ones I‘ve mentioned in my first post about this little paradise.

During my stay, I had the lovely opportunity to spend a few days at their Villa Olivo - a hilltop hideaway. A little apartment-kind suite on top of the resort with a view that makes you want to sit outside and contemplate all day long. The villa has two floors and feels like a proper home—an experience I can highly recommend to couples seeking a place to escape a fast-paced routine and unwind.

A place you can spend months exploring. Once the activities at the hotel have been all experienced the surroundings, continue to offer limitless opportunities for explorers. Hiking, biking, city trips and the list goes on. No wonder families choose to come for more extended periods and have the habit of returning yearly.

During my stay, I also had the opportunity to sneak a peak in the soon to be launched Aria Retreat & Spa. A high-end 5-star luxury hotel located in the same premises as the Parco San Marco but with an even further refined proposal. Only 15 apartment size suites with an interior design carefully selected and a view that compares to none. I already look forward to its official opening and am curious to see it once the project is entirely ready for visitors.
