Art Deco Hotel Montana Part III

This past stay was my third visit to the ART DECO Hotel Montana, located in Lucerne, Switzerland.

After covering the fall and winter seasons, it was time to cover the third and last part of the assignment (at least for now 😉) - the summer mood.

I find it interesting how the locations differ from season to season: the offer, the view, the colours, and the vibes.

Montana is a summer paradise.

With a Beach Club and the Scala Terrasse, the stunning view doesn’t get boring while enjoying fresh drinks and great food.

The Beach Club has a more relaxed, chill vibe, with burgers, salads and other summer-like dishes and an extensive list of drinks to choose from.

At the Terrasse, Johan (the Chef) guarantees fine dining with his marvellous creations - all served by a team of dynamic, motivated and super friendly individuals.

The location is also where breakfast is enjoyed - a bright space with a panoramic view of Luzern, Pilatus (Lucerne’s most famous peak), and the dreamy blue lake Vierwaldstättersee.

The lounge next to the Terrasse is ideal for a coffee or a drink while comfortably enjoying the (almost surreal) view - alone or in good company.

All other insights and tips about the Hotel can be read in my previous posts: autumn and winter.

The lake is minutes away for swimming lovers, with the Seebad Luzern around the corner - a wooden structure open from 10 am to 11 pm, with bathrooms, a bar and a bistro to enjoy the sun and the fresh lake water in warm summer days. The ones not wanting to buy the CHF 6 ticket to go in can also walk a bit further and find other lake shores to dip in.

The stroll to and back to the city is also one to fall in love with - a lovely path by the lakeside, with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, and various opportunities for buying and enjoying ice cream, just as the movie-like romantic movies.

Whichever season you choose to come, you won’t regret it. I personally think this last one is my favourite of all. But I guess I’m biased since the Swiss summer is one of my darlings.

It has been a pleasure to work on this project.

The front, the touchpoint of most visitors, reflects the management, led by the Hotel director, Miriam Böger. The entire team is one to admire. Friendly, young, open to ideas, dynamic, and excellent at their work. It is a place where I would look forward to overtaking future projects and continuing the collaboration.

It is not only a stunning place to visit but also a fun crew to work with.

Thank you 💙
